Melissa’s Story

My momma deserves this more than I could ever put into words, but I’ll try. She is one of the most selfless, giving, and faithful women I have ever known. Every single day, she pours her heart into taking care of her 90-year-old daddy, who is a retired preacher. She does it without complaint, without hesitation, and with so much love and patience. She shows up for him in every way—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and never asks for anything in return. She has always been that person for everyone in her life. If someone needs help, she’s there. If someone is hurting, she’s the first to pray over them and sit beside them. She has spent her entire life putting others before herself—her family, her church, her community—and she does it with such grace and humility. Even through hard seasons, stress, and exhaustion, she keeps a smile on her face and keeps going.

But the truth is, she rarely does anything for herself. Something like this would not just change her smile—it would give her a confidence and joy that she truly deserves after all the years she has spent taking care of everyone else. This would mean so much to her, especially for Mother’s Day. It would be a way to honor the love, sacrifice, and faithfulness she has shown every single day of her life. She has given so much of herself to others—this would be a chance for someone to give back to her in a way she would never ask for on her own. She is more than deserving. She is a true example of love in action, and it would be the biggest blessing to see her smile the way she deserves to.
