LeAnn’s Story

I am writing to nominate my Mama, LeAnn T Hollis, for the ‘Make Momma Smile Again’ contest.

My Mama was raised in Clarke County Mississippi and still resides there today. She was raised by her parents Tal and Pat Taylor alongside her two younger brothers. She met her husband and my dad, Joe, in 1982 and they married in 1984. My older brother Cody was born in 1986 and I came along in 1989. She worked as Deputy Assessor to the Tax Collector for Clarke County until a couple years ago when for health reasons she took early retirement.
She is a devoted wife, mother, sister and I’m sure she would say most importantly, GiGi to her four grandchildren. Her greatest joy is her family. She enjoys reading, crafting, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her loved ones.

One word describes my Mama: Overcomer.

She has overcome many heartbreaks in life, loss of a child my brother Cody in a tragic car accident, loss of our home to a fire, loss of both her parents within a year of each other in addition to her own health issues and through it all her faith never wavered.

Because of her unwavering love, tireless efforts and selfless acts to our family and others she is most deserving of this smile makeover.
